Sky Sports News denied on Sunday evening the information from the Catalan press that Mikel Arteta would want to leave Arsenal next summer.
The rumor appears to be unfounded. On Sunday, the Spanish press announced that Mikel Arteta was considering leaving Arsenal at the end of the season. The rumor had, of course, linked the Spaniard to Barcelona, which is set to lose Xavi. However, it seems to be just a rumor.
“Mikel Arteta has no intention of leaving Arsenal at the end of the season,” Sky Sports News learned. “Information published today in Spain suggests that the Gunners’ boss plans to resign this summer, with several media outlets linking him to the position at Barcelona.”
