Bayern Munich is aiming to secure the services of Xavi Simons this summer. An agreement with the player is nearly finalized, pending negotiations with PSG.
The chances of seeing Xavi Simons in a PSG jersey next season appear slim. The player seems to have made a decision against returning to Paris, favoring a new loan deal, potentially to Bayern Munich, as PSG is not inclined to sell. According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports, the German club has reached an agreement on both salary and sporting terms with PSG. RMC Sport also reports that Xavi Simons has agreed to terms with Bayern Munich, with a contract set at a base salary of €6 million annually, potentially rising to €12 million.
However, Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl, is now pushing to negotiate a transfer rather than a loan, involving both PSG and PSV Eindhoven.
PSG, facing a clause that requires a share of any sale proceeds before 2025 to go to the Dutch club, is currently engaged in discussions with all parties involved.
