Marseille’s season has not been met with approval from the fans, and a scheduled meeting between the club’s management and supporters on Monday turned out to be particularly tense, as reported by RMC Sport and La Provence.

During the meeting, various topics were discussed, but the primary point of contention was the team’s disappointing start to the season. Pablo Longoria, accompanied by key figures from the club’s management, including Javier Ribalta (Director of Football), Stéphane Tessier (Financial Director), and Pedro Iriondo (General Director), acknowledged his dissatisfaction with the team’s performances.

Leaders of the supporters’ groups voiced their concerns, stating, “We don’t see any progress on the pitch. We are ashamed. You do not respect us.”

Criticism was also directed at the club’s transfer dealings, which included the departures of Steve Mandanda, Dimitri Payet, Mattéo Guendouzi, and Alexis Sanchez. The supporters expressed discontent over the close personal relationship between Marcelino and the club’s president. Frustrated fans left the meeting, demanding that the club’s leadership step down.
