Real Madrid is paving the way for the departure of Jesús Vallejo, a defender who has failed to establish himself at the club.

The Real Madrid squad is undergoing a gradual overhaul. Following the exits of Nacho and Joselu, another player is set to leave this summer. Jesús Vallejo, who arrived in 2015, is expected to depart.

The Spaniard has been loaned out several times to Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolverhampton, Granada, and Zaragoza, but has never managed to secure a permanent place.

With just one year remaining on his contract, the 27-year-old center-back will leave permanently this time. AS reports that coach Carlo Ancelotti does not count on him. Real Madrid is looking to strengthen this position, potentially with Leny Yoro.

Real Madrid is even willing to entertain cut-price offers to reduce its wage bill and, importantly, to prevent the player from leaving on a free transfer next year.
