Barcelona is reportedly willing to recruit Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the forward from Napoli.
Xavi is set to stay at FC Barcelona after all. To convince him, the president of the Blaugrana, Joan Laporta, has promised an ambitious recruitment this summer. With a desire to strengthen the left wing, the Catalan club is considering the recruitment of talented Napoli player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The profile of the Georgian player, under contract until June 2027, particularly appeals to Xavi. His agent is set to meet with Napoli’s executives next week, which could be an opportunity to discuss a potential transfer to Barcelona.
However, this rumor could also serve Kvaratskhelia’s interests, as he is set to discuss a contract extension with Napoli. The player is also being followed by other top clubs in Europe, including PSG.
But it will be tough for Barcelona. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis hopes to recoup at least 150 million euros in the deal, while the player’s value is estimated at 80 million euros.
