FC Barcelona, facing economic challenges, will need to sell players to generate funds in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to the Catalan daily Sport, the club might have to sacrifice central defender Ronald Araujo if an offer exceeding €100 million is received. His departure could be offset by the return of Éric Garcia, who is currently on loan at Girona.
Bayern Munich and Manchester United are interested in acquiring Araujo, whose contract runs until June 2026. Although Barcelona has extended a contract renewal offer, there has been no progress for weeks.
Additionally, the situation of forward Vitor Roque, who joined for €61 million (including bonuses) in January from Athletico Paranaense, might come to an early end. According to SER Catalunya, the player will be sold to the highest bidder.
Vitor Roque’s agent, André Cury, has firmly rejected the idea of a loan for his client. Roque is under contract until June 2031, which complicates his sale despite his valuation being only €40 million.
