Tensions flared on the site of the Camp Nou renovation, with a fight involving 20 to 30 workers resulting in minor injuries for six individuals. The altercation took place on Friday but did not lead to any arrests or complaints. Some workers reportedly used wooden poles as weapons and have since been dismissed by the employer overseeing the stadium’s renovation.
FC Barcelona has not commented on the incident, but the club is aiming to return to the new Camp Nou by the end of 2024, though no exact date has been set.
