Trent Alexander-Arnold (25 years old, 4 matches in the Premier League this season) could be in the process of purchasing FC Nantes.

The talented footballer and businessman has reportedly shown interest in acquiring the club through an investment fund managed by his father, according to L’Équipe. Alexander-Arnold previously considered buying clubs like Saint-Étienne and Le Havre but appears to have shifted his focus to discussions with Waldemar Kita, the current owner of FC Nantes.

Kita Holds Off for Now

Discussions began with a video conference in July, followed by a meeting in Geneva this month. An oral offer of €100 million was presented, with €80 million payable immediately and potential bonuses of up to €40 million.

A recent meeting took place where Kita allowed an external audit of the club, although he did not accept the proposed amounts. However, it seems negotiations could still proceed.
