What if tennis star Rafael Nadal succeeded Florentino Perez? It’s a somewhat audacious dream of the Spanish tennis legend.

In an interview with AS, Rafael Nadal discusses his post-career plans. 2024 could be his last year as a tennis player. And what’s next? This avid Real Madrid fan envisions taking on a leadership role at the club.

“It’s a question I’m asked, and I answer it conceptually. Sometimes things are taken out of context to make headlines. In the end, all I’m saying is that I would like to be the president of Madrid. Yes, of course. But that doesn’t mean I will become one, and I might not even try,” Nadal clarified.

“First of all, there are people more qualified than me who will take the lead in this future opportunity when the term of Florentino, who has been one of the best presidents we’ve had in the history of Real Madrid, comes to an end someday.”

“So, if I’m asked from a conceptual point of view, would I like it? Yes, I would. It doesn’t mean I have the slightest chance of becoming one someday,” he added.
