Trouble at Barça: Disappointed, Frenkie de Jong Could Exit in Next Summer Transfer Window.

Barça’s sporting director Deco has made a preemptive move. Speaking yesterday to Esport3, the executive firmly shut down any possibility of selling Frenkie de Jong: “It would be a mistake to sell Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araújo for Kylian Mbappé. It would make the team worse.”

However, internally, the player is reportedly pushing for a move. According to Esport3, FC Barcelona might be forced to sell him next summer. And the Dutch midfielder wouldn’t oppose the idea. Under contract until 2026, De Jong would be open to leaving the club.

PSG Might Make an Offer

Esport3 reveals that he is deeply disappointed with the situation within the club since his arrival. Should he depart, De Jong is looking for a competitive team in the Champions League, a title he deems out of reach for Barça. This represents a dream for the player, one he doesn’t believe he can achieve in Barcelona.

And according to AS, PSG might be ready to seize the opportunity. The club could make an offer to both the player and Barça next summer. But PSG won’t be the only one in the race. Chelsea has reportedly already prepared an offer of €100 million.
