The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has introduced a distinctive “S1” badge on the jersey of the league’s top scorer. If Mbappé maintains this scoring pace, he will add another accolade to his already impressive list of achievements, continuing to etch his name in Ligue 1 history.
Described as more than just a badge, the S1 represents a genuine design piece crafted by Tyrsa, an artist known for collaborations with prestigious brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, and artists like FKA Twigs and Childish Gambino, as stated by the league in a press release.
After each matchday, a video highlighting the top scorers will enhance the competition for the Top Scorer badge. As the rankings evolve throughout the season, the badge may change hands until the final crowning at the end of the 34th Ligue 1 matchday, scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2024. The trophy presentation for the S1 season’s top scorer will follow this date.
For the upcoming match against Monaco this Friday (21:00), the special jersey will be presented to Mbappé by Pauleta.
