Jorge Nuno Pinto, the president of FC Porto, recently made a bet with Cristiano Ronaldo: to reach the impressive milestone of 1,000 goals in his career.
Currently, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 857 goals since the beginning of his career, and this ambition doesn’t seem to daunt him.
He states, “It will be quite challenging, but it’s about my mindset and motivation. If, physically, my legs treat me as well as I treat them… we’ll see; these are small steps. To reach 1,000, you first need to get to 900. I think I can do it.”
“1,000 goals are a long way to go,” he concludes. CR7 plans to continue playing for a few more years, at least until 2026, so he still has time.
