FC Barcelona is determined to sign Erling Haaland. The forward appears to be on the verge of leaving Manchester City, with a move to Spain seeming highly likely, and Barcelona being the frontrunner.

Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, has made acquiring a superstar a top priority during his tenure. Talks have already taken place between Haaland’s representatives and the club’s management.

The Catalan club is developing a strategy to sign the Manchester City striker by 2025 or 2026, leveraging improved finances and strong sporting performances. Laporta is also relying on his relationship with Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, as well as the current uncertainty surrounding Manchester City to facilitate the transfer.

Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly reached out to Haaland’s camp with a significant salary offer. However, despite the financial incentive, Haaland is leaning towards a career in Spain, considering transfers to either Barcelona or Real Madrid, despite Barcelona’s financial challenges.

“El Nacional” reports that Haaland has decided to leave the Premier League next summer, turning down a lucrative offer from PSG in favor of a move to Spain, which he views as a better fit for his professional development. Despite PSG’s active interest in bolstering their squad, Haaland is looking for more ambitious options for his future.

His recent performance, highlighted by a double against Norway, reinforces his exceptional status, while PSG aims to strengthen their attack for major competitions.
