In an interview with RTL, Lucas Hernandez shared his thoughts on Kylian Mbappé’s uncertain future. The French defender believes that PSG would do well to keep Mbappé in their ranks.
While PSG has made considerable efforts to “Frenchify” their squad to convince Mbappé to stay, the player seems to be considering a departure. Lucas Hernandez revealed that the final decision has not yet been made, and he himself is not fully informed about the situation.
Hernandez stated, “We try not to talk about that subject (…) We don’t talk about it. We know there is a lot of anticipation behind him. We don’t want to annoy him too much.” He also added, “We need him. He must make the best decision for his family and career, while hoping he stays with us at PSG.”
Hernandez’s comments reflect the significance Mbappé holds for the PSG team and the uncertainty surrounding his future as clubs like Real Madrid continue to express interest in the French player.
